The future of the Valencian Community’s “Travel Bonus” program is currently under evaluation. According to the regional Secretary of Tourism, José Manuel Camarero, a meeting has been scheduled with the tourism sector to analyze the evolution of this initiative and determine the best strategies for the year 2025.

In 2024, the “Travel Bonus” underwent an evolution with the introduction of the “+65 Bonus”, a pilot test designed specifically for people over 65 years of age, with the aim of diversifying and deseasonalizing the tourist offer.

The results of the program have been very positive, registering a 60% increase in overnight stays and helping to keep numerous businesses open during the slower months.

However, the recent DANA that has affected the region introduces an exceptional situation that will be considered in future planning. Decisions on the continuity or modification of the “Travel Voucher” will be made after consultation with the tourism sector, evaluating which aspects have worked and which require adjustments to continue supporting tourism in the Valencian Community.

For those who are interested in enjoying stays on the Costa Blanca, at Villas Holidays Costa Blanca we recommend staying tuned for upcoming updates on this program, as new opportunities could arise to plan your holidays in the region.
